With the holiday season ramping up, Thanksgiving is an ever-important reminder of how we each can make an impact by giving back in our communities. This Thanksgiving, we invite you to reflect on how you can support those in need, no matter where you live. 

At Wings and Rings, we hold this initiative close to our own hearts. We’re passionate about serving the community through our Buffalove Foundation, a cause dedicated to fighting child hunger. 

So, in the spirit of giving, we wanted to highlight five inspiring ways Wings and Rings has shown up for our local communities, as well as the ways you can get involved to help us make a difference. 

1. Supporting Mental Health and Child Safety Initiatives

In 2023, local North Dakota Wings and Rings restaurants worked with the Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center to bring awareness to this organization’s educational resources and services for victims of child abuse. We were a proud partner in this year’s Wing Fling fundraiser, channeling funds towards critical services for children and families in need.

2. Our Annual National Day of Service

Encouraging unity and action, each year the Buffalove Foundation is proud to donate money and volunteer as part of our National Day of Service in February. Over the years, our staff and franchisees have used this day to dedicate their time to nonprofits and food banks aiding food-insecure children.

3. Dine-In Events for a Cause

Good food and a good cause—we couldn’t think of a better combo. We regularly host dine-in events at Wings and Rings across the country to support your local causes. Organizations can sign up with their local Wings and Rings and a portion of a dine-in day’s profits will go towards their charity. Find your local Wings and Rings and follow us on social media to see if there are upcoming dine-in events near you.

4. Online Shopping that Gives Back

Did you know your online searches can support ending child hunger? Through GoodSearch.com, a search engine donating a portion of its revenue to charities, users can support the Buffalove Foundation. All you need to do is designate the Buffalove Foundation as your chosen charity and each internet search raises funds for Buffalove initiatives that provide food to communities in need. 

5. We’re Partnered with Kroger Plus

Shopping for your Thanksgiving feast? You can shop for your family meal and support the Buffalove Foundation at the same time. Kroger Plus cardholders can choose to designate the Buffalove Foundation as their preferred charity at Kroger.com/communityrewards. Every purchase made with the card accumulates points for quarterly cash distributions, directly aiding our mission to ending child hunger.

In fact, you can give back just by ordering from Wings and Rings this Giving Tuesday. On November 28th, we’re donating 10% of all Wings and Rings sales ordered online or in our Wings and Rings app. Proceeds will go directly to the Buffalove Foundation. What’s not to love about that!
