5 Top Tips for Catering Like a Pro with Wings and Rings

Ah, summer…the time of year when great weather meets one of the most perfect seasons for everything food (second only to football season, of course).

And, while summer might conjure up the usual outdoor food scenarios: picnics, potlucks, cookouts, and everything else your patio and a grill can handle, we’d argue that summer is also one of the best times to consider catering. Sure, firing up the barbecue or asking everyone to bring their favorite dish makes for a casual kind of fun.

But when you have your event catered, no one has to man the barbecue, prep loads of food for salads or sides, or — and most importantly — do the dishes. That means more time for you to enjoy your guests and less time spent cleaning up after them.

Whether your summer involves celebrating Father’s Day, a graduation, a wedding, a birthday, a baby shower, or even the 4th of July, consider catering wings and more by ordering from Wings and Rings. We have many delicious menu options from which to choose for whatever summer soiree you can dream up!

Read on for more catering tips to ensure your next large event goes off without a hitch.

5 Tips for Catering a Large Event

  1. Confirm the number of guests. This is key here. Before you order any food, be sure you have the correct amount. You definitely don’t want too little food, but you also don’t want to have too many leftovers either. Be sure to let your guests know how to RSVP so you can keep your budget and catering order on track. (However, should you find yourself with extra wings, here’s the best way to reheat them.)
  2. Set a budget. Knowing your total budget as well as how much you want to spend on each guest can help you best decide on the type and amount of food to order. Have some extended family members you are on the fence about? Luckily Wings and Rings is a great, budget-friendly catering option, and your best bet for having to feed Uncle Larry…and all his kids.
  3. Choose the venue. Whether your party is in your backyard or at a rental facility, you need to know where everyone will be gathering (and grabbing their food). Be sure everyone has enough room to mingle and flow through your event and that there is ample room for the catering to be delivered or set up.
  4. Order Wings and Rings catering. Once you’ve got the place secure, the guests notified, and your budget outlined, you’re ready to order the food. Whether you’re feeding 50 or 300, catering chicken wings (traditional, boneless, or grilled wing platters), nacho or potato bars, starters, salads, dessert, and more has never been easier than with Wings and Rings. Available at select locations for delivery or pickup, our catering is the perfect choice for all your special summer occasions.
  5. Clean up. Unfortunately the clean up is up to you, but fortunately it should be a cinch! All of our catering items come boxed up and ready to be put out for noshing, and all of those same boxes can just as easily be disposed of. (Check recycling in your area for any plastic and cardboard containers you may be able to recycle as well.) Place any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within 5 days.
