Round 1: Chicken Wings and Delicious Things

Hungry for the first round? We’re serving up questions straight from the Wings and Rings menu.

1. Buffalo sauce is a staple for wing lovers. Can you name the three basic ingredients in this tangy, spicy sauce?

Answer: The classic Buffalo sauce is a simple blend of cayenne pepper, hot sauce, and melted butter. At Wings and Rings, you can slather this iconic sauce on everything from our traditional wings to starters like our Buffalo Chicken Nachos or sandwiches like our Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.

2. We could eat chicken wings all year long. But when is the most popular day in the US to eat chicken wings?

Answer: Football’s Biggest Game is the reigning champ for chicken wing consumption. Luckily at Wings and Rings, we're always ready to tackle your game-day cravings with a spread of the best chicken wings near you.

3. Hot chicken wings are a classic. Do you know the secret element that gives peppers their heat, making for some spicy wing flavors?

Answer: Capsaicin is the chemical compound that turns up the heat in peppers. The more capsaicin in the pepper, the fierier the experience.

Everyone has their own heat tolerance, that’s why we have customizable heat levels for our chicken wings. Whether fiery Sweet Habanero or Ghost Pepper Ranch sauces are your favorites, or you prefer to keep it cool with Sweet BBQ or Garlic Parmesan off our wing menu, we've got a sauce for every palate at Wings and Rings.

4. We’re Wings and Rings, of course we’re going to include an onion ring question! Vidalia yellow onions are a popular choice for onion rings because of their sweeter flavor—and are exclusively grown in one US state. What is the state?*

*Hint: Perhaps “The Onion State” doesn’t have quite the same ring as their famous fruit nickname.

Answer: Vidalia onions come from the great state of Georgia. At Wings and Rings, our onion rings are a must-try, and you can order them on their own or go big with our Appetizer Sampler, where we serve up onion rings along-side favorites like Pretzel Bites and Mozzarella Sticks off our starter menu.
