4 Ways to Celebrate Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is swiftly approaching and we all know what that means — either spend it with that special someone or spend it casting a slew of side eyes, eye rolls, and other faces at all the adorable duos enjoying this day that was created seemingly just for them, right?

Wrong. We think you can enjoy the day without letting a couple of couples turn you off to cupid forever. Whether you are in a relationship, single, raising a family, or simply content to stay at home this February 14th, we have the perfect solution to celebrating with a meal that will allow you to enjoy the ones you're with, satisfy your stomach, and save you from some serious eye strain.

Choose Your Date for Valentine's Day

1. Yourself

There's nothing wrong with being single on Valentine's Day (or any day for that matter). Just because you're minus one S.O. doesn't mean you shouldn't treat yourself. The easiest way to dine alone is to pull up a seat at the bar. Oftentimes there is a single seat just waiting to be filled and a bartender who can fill your drink and dinner order all at once. Plug into your favorite sporting event on the big screen, tune out the crowd, and eat in peace.

Or, consider going out for lunch and skipping the dinner crowd. Mid-day dining lends itself to more singles, coworkers, or groups of friends meeting for a bite. Blend in with the crowd, order your favorite burger or a soup and salad combo and take it easy. Maybe you're meeting someone, maybe you're not. But either way, you're only in it for numero uno.

2. Your Significant Other

There's no need to spend a fortune or make some giant gesture just to impress your date. After all, simply spending time together enjoying the food you both love is the best kind of date. To really make the most of Valentine's Day, consider ordering a meal you can share from the appetizer menu. Finger foods are easy to eat and can be just as filling if you order the right amount. Pick two each, order your favorite beverages, and dig in while you dig on each other.

3. Your Family

If you have children at home it can be hard to find time or a babysitter that will allow you to get away for any meal, much less a romantic holiday dinner. Don't fret — why not let the whole family join in on the love? Check ahead of time to see if the restaurant is family-friendly and if there's something on the menu to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Better yet, why not make a day of it? Spend some quality time together by going to a park, a bowling alley, or to a movie before or after your group date.

4. Your Couch

Sometimes you don't want to leave the comfort of home to eat out, no matter what day it is. If your plans go no further than Netflix and chilling, the fact is you're eventually going to need some nourishment. We make sure the only finger you'll have to lift is to push a few buttons to place your carry out order. Pick it up on the way home from work or have a delivery service take care of bringing it right to your door.
